Tourett's Syndrome

I started seeing Dr. Tao about a year and a half ago after many different approaches to my two problems failed. I had been suffering from intermittent insomnia that was stress related and from a motor tic in the form of a head tremor. The head shaking was related to my condition of Toilette’s Syndrome.

Many doctors prescribed medicine for my conditions, but I did not want to take some of the stronger and potentially addictive medicines they were prescribing. Interestingly, I had seen some of the benefits of Acupuncture in helping my dog with her chronic arthritis condition and began to wonder if I too should pursue acupuncture and herbal remedies for my conditions.

I am glad I came to see Dr. Tao. His many years of training and practicing acupuncture gave made me comfortable in pursuing this alternative I had always been afraid to try. His delicate approach resulted in very little discomfort during the procedure and the acupuncture rooms were very warm and relaxing.

Most importantly, the very specific acupuncture points he chose have enabled me to greatly reduce my stress levels and have significantly improved my sleep patterns. And the motor tics have all but disappeared which is amazing given that I have tried nearly everything over the past 30 years to remedy this nagging problem that at times was debilitating.

I look forward to my weekly visits which are a welcome break to a stressful day are essential to keeping my conditions in check. I am just sorry I did not know Dr. Tao many years earlier.
